According to the U.S. Census, the County's estimated population in 2005 was 26,722 - an increase of 632 persons or +2.4% from the 2000 Census.
In 2004, the per capita income in Charlevoix County was $30,453 - an increase of 20.5% from 1994. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average annual wage per job in Charlevoix County in 2005 was $32,413. The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth indicated a total labor force in the County of 14,199 in November 2006, with 13,085 of those employed.
