In anticipation of Redevelopment Ready Communities (RRC) Certification and future competitive funding rounds, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is hosting Capital Improvement Training’s for community representatives. The content to be featured was developed by the Michigan Associate of Planning (MAP).

Are you familiar with the Planning Enabling Act and what it says about the Community Improvement Program? Do you know what should be included in your plan and how often it should be updated? Join Jill Bahm and Mike Kozak with Giffels Webster to learn everything you need to know to prepare and adopt a community improvement program, including: who should be involved, the accounting and budgetary requirements; how to tie the program into your infrastructure; and how to handle the tough questions.

This event is free of charge and will take place at the MEDC Headquarters in Lansing, Michigan. Two sessions will be offered: January 31 and February 21 both from 1:00pm – 4:00 pm.
