Electrical engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, or power generation equipment. Electrical engineers also design the electrical systems of automobiles and aircraft.

-Helping with the electrical work in new buildings in the Great Lakes region.
-The job consists of a lot of project work.
-Making sure all of the buildings are supported electrically, and troubleshooting any problems.
- CAREER PATH:
-Worked in various areas of the plant operating equipment and filling any open positions.
-Secured an electrical position at Carmeuse after working there for two years.
-Started in an electrical apprenticeship program and went through a journeyman’s course.
-Offered a position as an electrical supervisor, then went to school for a degree in Electrical Engineering.
