Ethan Duffield – NLEA AmeriCorps Vista Community Liaison

By Buck Love, Business Retention and Growth

“Patience and persistence pays off” could read the headline of the Antrim Review.

Ethan Duffield will be the new AmeriCorps/Vista Community Liaison who will provide financial literacy programs in Antrim County and assist the Village of Central Lake with implementing their Project Rising Tide community goals.

Ethan is a May 2017 graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Marketing and Advertising and previously interned at a Royal Oak public relations firm, Airfoil Group, to gain experience in social media marketing and data analysis. He has previous volunteer experience working with the non-profit Heal the Children Organization and Loaves & Fishes Ministry.

Ethan’s willingness to work collaboratively in Central Lake will benefit many for years to come as the village seeks to implement the following goals:

  • Create a brand/enhance identity
  • Create more reasons for people to come downtown
  • Increase economic opportunity for residents and businesses
  • Build on the historic nature and charm of downtown Central Lake

Buck Love, Director of Business Retention & Growth at the Northern Lakes Economic Alliance (NLEA) completed the required Michigan Non-Profit Association (MNA) supervisory training to oversee the implementation of this position. He will share in Ethan’s professional development with Janet Koch, Community Development Director.
