Second Chance Armor

The Northern Lakes Economic Alliance was able to assist Central Lake Village in obtaining a $400,000 Community Development Block Grant for a sewer extension for this facility - necessary infrastructure to allow this company to operate. As a result, the company chose to stay in Michigan rather than relocate to Alabama, the location of another company division.  The combination of the grant, and a local match of $40,000 enabled this company to invest over $1 million in building expansion, machinery and equipment and the creation of up to 150 new jobs.  This project has been a great example of success as a result of public/private collaboration benefiting the community as a whole.
