First Ever Virtual “Multi-State Community Entrepreneurship” Conference

First ever virtual multi-state conference mapSave the Date!  Nov 9-13, 2020

University Extension programs from Michigan State University, University of Nebraska, South Dakota State University, North Dakota State University, University of Minnesota, Penn State University, University of Missouri and the University of New Hampshire are developing a BONANZA of programming!

Working jointly all eight state university extension programs have embarked on an amazing plan… to offer an eight state virtual community entrepreneurship conference.  To be held the entire week Nov 9-13, 2020.

About the conference:  The Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities (CEC) Conference is a community development initiative that brings together entrepreneurs, business leaders, economic development professionals, decision makers, and community champions to strengthen and broaden regional entrepreneurial networks and learn tools and resources communities can use back home to nurture and support entrepreneurs.

In-person CEC events have been held in Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota and are planned for Pennsylvania and New Hampshire, hosted by University Extension organizations.  These state-wide conferences are designed to help communities learn tools, resources and programs they can use in their towns to help entrepreneurs grow and thrive.

Due to COVID-19, all in-person events have been postponed. However, technology allows us to still share great programming and ideas! To that end, EIGHT state University Extension teams are collaborating to offer a week-long virtual conference in November 2020.  In this first of its kind offering, the program development team is excited to offer participants from across the states access to programming and ideas from eight states!

Each day 3-5 sessions will be offered (virtually).  Participants can go to any and all throughout the week.  All states are contributing content and all participants will have:

  • A front-row seat to hear best practices that build entrepreneurial communities
  • Access to entrepreneurs, business leaders, economic developers, decision makers and community champions who support rural communities
  • Learn about specific tools and resources that can be implemented in your community
  • Freedom to jump into one or as many sessions as you want during the week with access to recordings after
