Northern Lakes Economic Alliance (NLEA) has reconfigured staff positions and job descriptions to resurrect the community development role. Rather than remove this from the organization, it was important to find an efficient way to keep it as a resource in order to best serve local municipalities.
Two NLEA staff members, Jessica Lovay and Amanda Baker, will shift their positions and tackle this role as a team; Jessica’s focus will be on project funding options, grant writing and administration, and community infrastructure needs, while Amanda will maintain downtown development projects in East Jordan and will assist communities with RRC certification as well as other community engagement projects.
