Meet NLEA Office Manager/Grant Administrator, Jessica Lovay
NLEA Office Manager/Grant Administrator, Jessica Lovay, enjoys spending time with her husband Justin, and their son Calvin.
Jessica joined the Northern Lakes Economic Alliance (NLEA) in the summer of 2014, as their Administrative Assistant with focus on Communications. Over the years she has transitioned into the Office Manager/Grant Administrator role.
She has lived in Northern Michigan over 25 years, graduating from Petoskey High School in 2004 (Go Northmen!). She and her husband, Justin, moved to Boyne City in 2010 and still reside there. They have a spunky almost 5 year old son Calvin, and a dog and cat. When Jessica isn’t at the office, she enjoys spending time with my family, cooking/baking, and being outside when the weather is nice. Her position at the NLEA has allowed her to achieve a work life balance that she appreciates.
As Office Manager/Grant Administrator, she wears many hats and every day is a little different. The main responsibilities include helping communities and businesses complete grant applications and administering the project upon award. She assists communities and businesses with tax incentive districts and applications for abatements, and oversees the day to day office operations to make sure the “back-office” support, reports, communications, etc. flow well to support field staff and implementation of the NLEA plan of work.
